THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE PLACE
From the rehearsal room
to the world stage.
Thomas is a Tony, Drama League and GLAAD Media Award-winning producer working across theatre, film, television and radio. His career spans the West End, Broadway, Off-Broadway and UK and international touring.
He trained in musical theatre at the Urdang Academy on a full scholarship and studied English and Drama at Middlesex University. After performing, he moved into production in 2009, building practical experience of the work that takes a show from preparation to performance.
In 2019 he founded Thomas Hopkins Productions. The company supports theatre and screen projects, with a particular focus on transatlantic partnerships. His producing credits include Rose, starring Maureen Lipman, and This Bitter Earth, directed by Billy Porter.
A London home
for theatre makers.
Thomas co-founded West End Central with Solange Urdang OBE, bringing a producer’s perspective to a rehearsal and production base in Angel, London. The venue brings studios and practical facilities together so creative teams can prepare in one place.
Seven accessible studios, singing rooms and production offices at 259–263 Goswell Road support casting, rehearsals and the preparation around a production. Daily, weekly and exclusive hire options give companies room to work.
